Our new cat Jamina (6 months old) has just discovered there are birds at our feeders! She sees a female Finch, then a blue Scrub Jay, and grab and run Titmouse. The female Finch She is used to eating hard dry food. When I gave her chicken in gravy she did not consider it food and went back to the dry food and water.

The latest news about our new cat Jamia.   She is sleeping in this window. This morning she wrapped herself around my arm. This is the first time Jamia has been exposed to soft caned chicken food.  Jamia is not used to soft food. She thinks it is strange.

Our New Cat Jamia

We now have a new kitty born in April 2017 six months ago. I named her Jamia. It is   pronounced jÉ™-MIY-É™, but I pronounce it Jim-e-AH.  I expected her to be an unusual cat and wanted to give her an unusual name.   The name is rare in America. It is a Scottish. Variation of Jamie. Feminine form of James, which is derived from the Hebrew ya`aqob (supplanted, seizing by the heel) i.e. Jacob. This name is rare so it has never been among the top 1000 names in America. We picked her at a shelter. Then picked her up from the vet October 17, 2017, and she is doing great. The most loving cat I have ever known.

Wild Thing Our Beloved Cat

Image
Our beloved cat Wild Thing died of cancer. She was 13 1/2.  She made a rasping sound as she ate, which I thought was odd for several months before. We don't have much money and she seemed alright otherwise. We realized that it was serious when she started slivating and  got so she couldn't eat in her last few weeks . I took her to the vet twice and paid over $200 and found she had a bleeding tumor in the upper part of her mouth. They wanted $1000 for a biopsy that we could not afford, and there was no guarantee. I tried to get Go Fund Me to help, but no one cared. She lasted another three months.   She died two days after this picture was taken below.

What happened to Shannon dog happened to our cat. http://christinprophecy.org/articles/do-pets-go-to-heaven/ Do pets go to Heaven? Some thought-provoking answers to the age-old question. By Michelle Shannon Our dog, Sable, died late last night, May 24, 1998. She was just over 9 years old. We had taken her to the vet on May 18, just six days earlier, and a tumor was found. But the vet said she was otherwise in great health. So, we decided to have the tumor removed after our camping trip that weekend. When we returned Sunday, Sable was dying. She struggled to greet my husband, Steve, and then slumped down, breathing laboriously. She would not get up again. We knew she would not make it through the night, so we stayed with her, gently stroking her fur and scratching her favorite places, until she was gone — just before midnight. What a ble...
