News Release: California is planning to adopt its first state dinosaur. The state assembly voted April 6, 2017 on a measure introduced by Santa Monica ’s representative, Richard Bloom, to name Augustynolophus morrisi our official prehistoric (there is no such thing as prehistoric, the Bible records history from the beginning) mascot. Editor’s Note: Augustynolophus morrisi is a common duckbilled hadrosaur dinosaur the most common dinosaur body fossils in the fossil record also called the Iguanodon and Trackodon.
