Orogeny is Worldwide Earthquake
Secular
geologists assume millions of years, but Creation geologists show that most
geologic features were created suddenly during cataclysms. My own research for
my book Mysteries of History Revealed
shows that the earth went through a massive worldwide asteroid shower two times
in history. One was at the KT boundary when Noah’s Flood occurred about 2348
BC, then another huge but smaller asteroid shower occurred about 2000 BC.
(Radiometric dating has been proven totally false and other evidence proves dinosaurs
are thousands of years old see proof in my books) The same story is found on
the moon. The first was the greatest forming many craters the size of Texas.
Then they were eroded and buried by continent crossing tsunamis, then again by
erosion by receding water. These events are marked by what geologists call mountain
building orogeny. The evidence from geology and paleontology shows these were
rapid events when the earth was cracked open releasing primordial mineralized
hot water from cracks in the ocean floor that inundated the dry land. Also
causing worldwide volcanic eruptions greater than recent history.
The only
difference between the evolution and creation viewpoint is how long it took. Evolutionists
say it occurred gradually over millions of years. Creation scientists believe
it occurred suddenly over hours, weeks, maybe months. Supported by the Bible
and geologic observations.
Devil's
Punchbowl, elevation 4,750', is one of the most fantastic, colorful jumble of
rocks in Los Angeles County. It is a county park within the Angeles National
Forest on the northern slopes of the San Gabriel Mountains. There are short
trails within the park which showcase the riot of geologic features along the
Punchbowl and San Andreas Faults and there are connections to the major longer
trails going up to the high country.
The Devil's Punchbowl drainage flows into Sandrock Creek and another tributary of Big Rock Creek which disappears into the Mojave Desert.
The rock so spectacularly exposed at the Devil's Punchbowl is the Punchbowl Formation made of ~5,000' of nonmarine light gray sandstone, conglomerate and thin shale strata. The rock was derived from weathering of granite from the Mojave Block, deposited in a formerly flat basin to the south of the Mojave Block, which was subsequently tilted by movement along the Punchbowl and San Andreas Faults.
The Devil's Punchbowl rock is very similar to the Miocene (7-25 million years old from the Period from Dibblee; a more precise 6-15 million years old from Sharp) "Mormon Rocks" formation in Cajon Pass, but fossils show that the rock at the Devil's Punchbowl is younger, with ages of lower Pliocene to upper Miocene (~5-10 million years). Much speculation has been made about whether these formations were once in juxtaposition, and have been separated by movement along the San Andreas and Punchbowl Faults, but the faults are apparently complex enough that it is difficult to agree on a reconstruction. Both units may once have been next to matching rock to the south of Punchbowl fault that is now 30 miles to the northwest.” Most geologist believe they were one formation divided by fault slip. But the evidence indicates this was a sudden very catastrophic event that evolutionists are not willing to accept because of their uniformitarian beliefs. And creationists because of their assumption there was only one worldwide cataclysm. But geologic and biblical evidence proves there was a second worldwide cataclysm that did not wipe out all life like the first one. The Bible, geology, and paleontology indicate there was another major cataclysm at the time of the Younger Dryas and Tower of Babel when the earth was divided. Meaning BOTH division of people AND division of the continents. The continents were broken up by faults in 2348 BC but were not divided until 2000BC in Peleg’s Division. The Bible says this was when the continents went into run away subduction as described by creation scientist Walter Brown. However, he places it at the Flood, when it is about 350 years after major cataclysm of the Flood.

Here is what a secular scientist with the evolutionist prestigious Scientific
America has to say about this:
“In a subduction zone, you get some
really wild rocks, rocks that’ve been through it, rocks that have been chewed
up and spit out, rocks that, were they a letter, would get the post office in
deep trouble for the amount of folding, spindling and mutilating they’ve
endured.
A subduction zone takes your basic rocks and makes them
sublime. It pushes them down and raises them up. It takes bits of the seafloor
and chucks them up on land.
It takes your basic quiet marine
shales, which had been resting peacefully in nice horizontal layers on the sea
bed, and squeezes and cooks them into phyllite.
And then it hoists them high, standing them on end, and makes mountains of
them.”
Does this
appear to be slow events over millions of years? No you do not chuck something
and have it land a million years later. This is what happened to the Punchbowl
Formation also called the Mormon Rocks.
Giant
condors used to nest in hollowed out spaces in these rocks, which are as tall
as 1.2 meters and with one of the largest wingspans in the world, measuring as
much as 3 meters. These huge birds can weigh up to 26 pounds—massive for a
flying creature. And is considered a remnant survivor of the Pleistocene just
after Peleg’s Division 2000 BC. They became extinct here in the 1800s.
The asteroid
impacts caused a worldwide upheaval or worldwide earthquake called an orogeny
forming the fault system worldwide. Several impacts were larger than Chicxulub crater that supposedly killed
the dinosaurs.
These
craters have only recently been discovered underground.
However,
most creation scientists do not believe in a Post-Flood event of this size. And
this is involving new discoveries which I and a few others are discovering.
The
paleontologist from the San Bernardino County Museum Dr. Bob Reynolds told us
that the rivers in the Mojave Desert reversed and they don’t know why. Here is
what geologists tell us as well as my observations.
http://www.desertsymposium.org/Desert%20Symposium%20History.pdf
Paleontologist Bob Reynolds researches the Cajon to Lake Manix fossil research.
The water
flowing from the north into the ocean reversed as the mountains were up thrust
all along the coast as the continents rapidly moved apart, producing a lake in
what we call the Mojave inland desert today north of the mountains. The water
was dammed up behind the rising mountains carrying boulders gravel and sand
over the top into Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire through
fault lines including Lyell Creek and Cajon Pass in San Bernardino County. The rivers on the other side of this mountain
chain flowed into the inland lake near Baker. And it is still there
underground. At that time there were volcanic eruptions creating petrified
fossils.
During this the
Devils Punchbowl Formation was divided in half and one slid 30 miles north west
and the other south east. See my technical paper:
Auldaney, J. 1994. Catastrophic fluvial deposition at the
asphalt seeps of Rancho La Brea, California, Proceedings of the Third
International Conference on Creationism, Technical Symposium Sessions, R.
E. Walsh, ed. Pittsburgh, PA: Creation Science Fellowship, Inc., 25-35.
In my
research for my technical paper here is what geologist John Morris says about
my paper: https://www.icr.org/article/la-brea-tar-pits-mystery
Research for
that paper revealed that the Pleistocene strata was up warped as the mountains
rose and water flooded the Los Angeles flood plain with rocks and gravel from
the mountains.
