Noah's Ark Gopher Wood

       Back to Back to Genesis, in the article on the Ark Encounter they discussed the use of Gopher wood in the original Ark. So Noah said, "Go for wood." No. Many students of the Bible have tried to discover what kind of wood that it was. No one knows what kind of trees were used.  It is obviously not a kind of wood, it is a process.

       Gopher wood logically is what we call highly compressed wood. It is lighter than unprocessed wood containing no water, it is flame resistant (It has to be very hot to get it burning (once it starts burning it lasts a long time and produces more heat), it is stronger than plane wood, it has not knots or other defects. And it is stronger than metal which is brittle.
