“We beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; that ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.” (1 Thessalonians 4:10-12)

On Labor Day, we traditionally take time to recognize the great workforce here in America. (Jeremy: Our country became Great because Christian people came here to follow the teachings of the Bible. By diligent work we became one of the world’s richest nations. We cannot become Great Again without following Jesus and trusting in the Bible.) From factories to restaurants, from typing pools to machine shops, from schoolrooms to gas stations, laborers help make the economy run, and on this day America honors its workforce.

The Bible likewise frequently commends those who work. For example: “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth” (Ephesians 4:28).

Several of the words in our text are significant. The verbs “increase . . . study . . . be . . . do . . . work . . . walk . . . lack” (Jeremy: Notice that there are 7 things we are to do. The number 7 is symbolic of spiritual perfection or completion. God created mathematics to measure time and space.) are all in the tense implying a habit, or lifestyle. (Jeremy: Doing what is right should come natural for a Christian.) We are thus commended to have a mindset of work, not laziness or expecting others to do for us what we can do for ourselves. (Jeremy: Socialists/Liberals use this lust for gain without work to manipulate people to vote for them. And it attracts illegal aliens to our country to take advantage of Entitlements paid for by American’s. They tell foreign people that America stole from them so they should steal what we have earned.)

The word “honestly” elsewhere is translated “decently” or “properly” and is emphasized in the Greek. There is a proper way to walk. (Jeremy: Get rich by doing good for others. Then use it to help the poor.)

Perhaps Paul was referring to his own example: “For ye remember, brethren, our labor and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you” (1 Thessalonians 2:9). (Jeremy: We have a responsibility to help others when we can. Riches used for selfish purposes becomes an idol, and often destroys the rich with drugs, women, and lavish life styles.)

Note that an admonition to continue in “brotherly love” (v. 9) is the context of our text. For one who refuses to work and becomes a burden to society (Jeremy: Socialism.) exhibits a lack of brotherly love and is a reproach to the community of Christ.

Days of Praise September 5, 2019

Speaking Evil of Dignities

“But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.” (2 Peter 2:10)

In context here, Peter is speaking of the false teachers who would later come into the Christian community, leading many to “follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2 Peter 2:2). Among other characteristics, these teachers would “despise government” and “speak evil of dignities.” (Jeremy: Fake News and Liberals/Democrats speak evil of Trump, when they should honor him as our President. In the military they say you are to respect the officer no matter what you think of him personally. I remember when Nixon entered the room everyone is supposed to rise in his honor. Ted Kennedy [A very evil Liberal] refused to rise.)

Again in context, it seems clear that the “government” Peter has in mind primarily is the divine government that had been established by God for the universe (the “principalities and powers in heavenly places”—Ephesians 3:10) and the “dignities” refer to the angels—even those that have rebelled and now follow Satan. Jude notes in a similar passage that even the archangel Michael spoke respectfully to Satan, the premier fallen angel (Jude 1:8-9). (Jeremy: This also refers to our secular government. Matthew 5: 43You have heard that it has been said, You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. 44But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which spitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46For if you love them which love you, what reward have you? do not even the publicans the same? 47And if you salute your brothers only, what do you more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.)

Therefore, it is carnally arrogant and dangerous for men to insult or to ridicule such powerful beings. They are for God to judge and deal with, in His own time and way. (Jeremy: The Bible says, Vengeance is mine, I shall repay.)

And the same must be true of human “dignities” and “government.” We must remember that “the powers that be are ordained of God” (Romans 13:1) and that “the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will,” and sometimes He even “setteth up over it the basest of men” (Daniel 4:17). (Jeremy: I have said scum rises to the top.)

Even if we live in a republic, (Jeremy: The Liberals have turned our Republic under God’s Laws into a Democracy ruled by the Lynch Mob, by ignoring the Constitution. Their plan is detailed in The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Scion.) therefore, and can participate in the selection of our leaders, our main responsibility is to “be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers (Jeremy: Like Antifa, and Black Lives Matter, and other Liberal riots), but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men” (Titus 3:1-2). HMM

The Watchers June 15, 2019 Henry Morris

“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” (Daniel 4:17)

(Jeremy: Some ‘Christians’ criticize Trump and hate him, but he is only a man like you. The important thing is he is doing God’s will unlike Obama/Hillary and the Democrats.) Who are these mysterious “watchers” who are so concerned that we know that “the powers that be are ordained of God” (Romans 13:1), sometimes even including the “basest of men”? They are mentioned in the Bible only here in the fourth chapter of Daniel (see also vv. 13, 23), all three times evidently synonymous with “the holy ones,” beings who come down from heaven. Such phrases could apply only to angels, created to serve the Lord and the “heirs of salvation” (Psalm 103:20; Hebrews 1:14).

The word is used here in reference to Nebuchadnezzar’s vision and period of insanity. Although it is used nowhere else in the Bible, it occurs frequently in such apocryphal books as Jubilees and Enoch, (Jeremy: The Book of Enoch was written by Gnostics and contradict the Bible. This phony Enoch refers to Watchers as fallen angels. But the Bible refers to them as Holy angels. Many a Nephilim researcher has gone wrong here.) where it refers both to God’s holy angels and to the fallen angels, (Jeremy: This is reading it into the Bible.

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Colossians 1:16

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Colossians 2:15

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.)

who have direct interest in people on Earth as they “watch” them—even on occasion directly controlling events that affect them.

(Jeremy: These verses indicate principalities and powers are under Satan and those he controls on earth.)

In any case, the Bible does indicate that “the angels desire to look into” the outworking of the gospel in the hearts of men (1 Peter 1:12), and that “unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God” (Ephesians 3:10). Children, as well as adult believers, also seem to have guardian angels who “watch” them (Matthew 18:10; Acts 12:9-15).

(Jeremy: Most Creationists with ICR and CRS do not believe in this Conspiracy led by Satan and his angels. And yet we see it every day in broadcast news. This is why they are prejudiced against me.)

This is a mysterious subject because we cannot see these “watchers,” but we at least need to know they are there. In fact, we can praise God that “the angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them” (Psalm 34:7). HMM

I have discovered many things that go beyond their research and they act like evolutionists who will not listen to the facts. I had an argument with Henry Morris III Henry Morris’s son that the Flood of Noah was triggered by an asteroid impact. He claimed that came from evolution causing the extinction of the dinosaurs. I and another person tried to explain that it had nothing to with Chicxulub. Later my research discovered that it was a worldwide shower in 2348 BC when the KT boundary was created and there was another shower about 2000 BC. This is all documented in scientific technical papers from secular and Christian researchers. But most will not listen, they would rather believe their own speculation.
