Formation of the Grand Canyon

Secular/evolutionist scientists claim the Grand Canyon was cut by the Colorado River over millions of years as the Colorado Plateau rose slowly. This is falsified by the fact that the sediment from the canyon only dates to the recent Pliocene/Pleistocene, and orogenies are rapid catastrophic events. Of course evolutionists are uniformitarians and cannot allow cataclysmic events to explain geology. But cracks in granite everywhere are filled with quartz by Metasomatism (from the Greek μετά (change) and σῶμα (body)) is the chemical alteration of a rock by hydrothermal and other fluid minerals. This proves the unthrusting and melting of minerals was rapid.

If mountains rose slowly and faults move slowly there would be no cracks and slickensides because the rocks would bend. In fact minerals are known to flow like a liquid over a long period of time and there should be no mountains if the earth and planets were millions of years old. Old glass in windows becomes thicker over a long period of time. Evolutionists with their Fake Science will not tell you this.

Creation scientists have two theories. 1. The Grand Canyon was cut by the receding waters of the Flood of Noah. 2. The canyon was cut by a breached damn of huge Pleistocene lakes a few years after the Flood. The Flood left many huge lakes of salt water and lime behind and there was a lot of rain during what secular archaeologists/paleontologists call the Pluvial Period.

The lava flows that went over the rim into the canyon were obviously after the Flood during another cataclysm 350? years later. Henry Morris believed this cataclysm was 7  x 7 x 7 = 350 and I came to the same conclusion before I saw Henry agreed. The Bible is filled with mathematical codes. This is 7 Sabbaticals or Sabbaths of years.

  When the Colorado Plateau was upthrust, then split by the fault that formed it, then the Colorado River was formed. The canyon created the river, the river did not create the canyon.

Dr. George Howe did research on the Kaibab squirrels, and found that the squirrels on one side of Grand Canyon were different subspecies from those on the other side of the canyon. This splitting of the canyon had to be after the Flood!

The Clarey article says there are two theories of how the Grand Canyon was carved out of flat layers by creation scientists.

One is it was formed after the Flood in Noah’s Day as the waters flowed off the earth. The other says the canyon was formed after the Flood by a breached damn by Pleistocene lakes left behind after the Flood.

Cleary says that there are no strand lines and lake terraces to prove Unita Lake, Canyonlands Lake, and Hopi Lakes existed. I have not found evidence of the strand lines either.

However, the problem with this theory is the water flowing off the land after the worldwide flood would produce planer erosion, not down cutting. The whole geologic column is made of flat planer erosion up to the last layer as seen in all sedimentary flat plateaus.

The Providence Mountains Mojave Desert are Pennsylvanian and Cambrian limestone and shale strata, deposited during the first stages of the Flood containing deep water marine animal fossils. These ancient mountains were covered then were eroded flat according to geologists, then rose again later exposing the lower Paleozoic strata in these present mountains.

The sediments eroded out of the Grand Canyon was deposited as the Bouse Formation and contains no dinosaurs deposited during the Flood. It is Pleistocene gravel that contains the bones of Post Flood Mammoths which I saw on a field trip by the San Bernardino County Museum under paleontologist Dr. Reynolds years ago.

If it was a Noah’s Flood deposit there would be dinosaurs.

Clary ignores the fact that dinosaurs are never found in Cenozoic strata, and large mammals are never found in Mesozoic strata. And these strata containing fossils are fossilized in different ways. Noah’s Flood fossils are mostly petrified by silicon in the volcanic ash that covered them along with hot ground water. Post Flood Cenozoic fossils are usually preserved bone in ice, asphalt, bogs, gravel, siltstone, diatomite, shale, sandstone, and caves. Only a few are petrified at volcanic sites like the Oligocene Badlands of South Dakota. With no dinosaurs, only many extinct Post Flood mammals.

Clary mentions the Bidahochi Formation, which I saw at the Petrified Forest which has a clear unconformity erosional surface between the Flood deposit of Triassic/Jurassic and the Post Flood Bidahochi Pliocene to Late Neogene strata.

And evidence from geology and the Bible show evidence of two major cataclysms ignored by many creation scientists around 2348 BC and another in 2000 BC. However, Henry Morris agreed with me in his book.

The worldwide flood, and 350 years later during Peleg’s Division, after man had been scattered from Babel then cut off by the separation of the continents. Both triggered by massive asteroid showers ignored by both evolutionists and some creationists.

During Peleg’s Division mountain ranges rose, and faults slipped releasing mega volcanic eruptions and a worldwide earthquake called an orogeny.

I was the first creation researcher to discover asteroid showers were the triggers of two worldwide cataclysms. Other creation researchers have followed with similar subjects confirming my conclusions.

Others have ridiculed.

As for the lack of strandlines, perhaps the water came from further away like Lake Bonneville. Right now there are underground rivers from Wyoming to California going into the Pacific Ocean.
