Jeremy Auldaney This paper is giving technical details of how a space craft flies. They use a flat, non-rotating surface in their computer simulations. This is the same as map makers producing a flat map of the earth. It make it simpler than having to calculate differences caused by a curved moving surface. They DO NOT SAY THE EARTH IS FLAT!
