Is Socialism Good or Evil?

Excellent comment on my facebook:

I just had an interesting conversation with a young homeless man who a buddy and I befriended, gave him a place to sleep last night, fed him last night, and then my buddy went and got fresh doughnuts and coffee so we'd all have breakfast this morning.
After breakfast, the conversation turned to basically him making a statement that everyone is entitled to health care, and he claimed it was a basic human right.

I asked him why he thought it was a right, and if it was a right who would pay for it. He said he has the right to live and health care is part of that right, and that the government should pay for it.
I then asked him where the government gets the money to pay for this perceived right, assuming that it is a right. He said from the enormous taxes we have to pay. I then said, "wait a minute, by your own admission you have decided to be homeless with no job for the last four years. So you are really saying that it is tax payers like me who should be paying for your health care to insure that you can live so that you can take advantage of your choice to exercise your liberty by not working, and you can enjoy your happiness of not working while being taken care of." I asked him where is the incentive for people like me, who has worked all their life for what they have, to do that and what about the doctors that would give you healh care? Where is the incentive for them to dole out quality health care at government controlled rates?
He then started talking about socialism and how things worked in other socialist countries.
He eventually got mad, used a few choice cuss words, and left. I sat there scratching my head in total amazement.
My reply:

Jeremy Auldaney Yes people are being conditioned to be lazy. The Bible teaches that if we do not work we do not have a right to eat. The Illuminati want people to live off, we the people, then they can make slaves out of everyone, and live in luxury. Health care from the government costs more and is poor cheap care, and many die before they can get care. Or there care they need is canceled and they are left to die. Yes socialism in other countries has made them third world poor countries. Our country became rich and powerful because of the free enterprises system and competition kept the cost down, and gave us better service and products.
